A rare book of plans and specifications for various Queensland railway carriages has been unearthed by Ipswich Antique Centre.
The centre's director, Alison Mildwaters (pictured), said the book contained more than 200 pages of designs for carriages from the 1880s, with amendements up to the 1960s.
"Most appear to have originated at the Ipswich Railway Workshops", she said.
"Designs for many specialised use carraiges, such as a travelling dental clinic, are included."
"The book, priced at $1250, should be of great interest to collectors of both railway and Ipswich memorabilia."
